Greetings from Shruti family! On behalf of the Shruti Foundation and Shruti School of Music, I am wishing you a Merry Christmas and happy holidays.
"Nightingale" – A compilation of songs for the next generation.
During lockdown, all of us have been stuck at home, and our social activities have been heavily restricted. Netflix and Zoom became our best friends. All our kids have had difficulty engaging in activities and other fun things to do. I am a father of a seven year old son and I can feel that he his missing out on such things. During May, by god's grace, I came up with an idea to produce a music album for our kids to encourage their creativity and to nurture their natural gifts. By doing so, I thought we would get to remember this pandemic in a positive note.
I am so thankful to all our Shruti School of Music and Shruti Foundation family members and parents for their support. A special thanks goes out to my friend from Mumbai, Debasish Bhattacherjee, who agreed to co-produce, arrange, mix and master this album. Last but not the least, all my kids Aditeya, Maatangi, Shaan, Sahil, Krishiv, Kinnari, Avani, Savan, Meenakshi, Karina, and Kavi did an awesome job singing their bits. They brought so much happiness to this project. They sang in such an organic way, did their own video shooting, learned the music, all of which made me experience pure love and absolute passion for music in a way I have never experienced before. I am very thankful to all of you for all your support, friendship, and for having belief in me.
We are looking forward to celebrating virtually and in spirit of uniting the world through the power of music and arts.
